Andersen in Palestine assumes the role of local expert in the EBRD’s newest project; for the Development of a new Insolvency Legislation for Both Businesses and Consumers in the West Bank and Gaza in partnership with the Ministry of National Economy and a team of international experts.
The project aims to improve the legal environment for bankruptcy and insolvency in Palestine, enhance the ability of companies and individuals to mitigate financial distress and provide capacity building to the judiciary regarding insolvency laws.
The expert group held a series of fruitful meetings and consultations with several government agencies and relevant institutions, which were represented by: the Ministry of National Economy, the Monetary Authority, the Supreme Judicial Council, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Finance, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Communications, and the Land Authority.
