Wednesday, January 31, 2024, Andersen in Palestine, in collaboration with the Palestinian Capital Market Authority, conducted a legal workshop aimed at presenting the findings of a comprehensive technical and legal study assessing the current state of the financial leasing sector in Palestine. The study, meticulously prepared by Andersen in Palestine, was a focal point of discussion among representatives from the Capital Market Authority and various financial leasing entities in Palestine.
The session commenced with a welcoming address from Andersen's managing partner, attorney Suhaib Sharif, who emphasized the significance of this project as a pivotal and qualitative initiative for the firm.
Ms. Lina Ghobeish, the Director General of the General Administration of Mortgage Finance and Leasing at the Capital Market Authority, expressed gratitude to the research team for their efforts, highlighting the study's significance. She further noted that the study, along with its recommendations and accompanying legislative drafts, is poised to serve as the foundational framework for the development of the legislative landscape governing the financial leasing sector in the upcoming period.
Dr. Mahmoud Abu Sway, a senior partner at Andersen in Palestine and the team leader, provided a comprehensive overview of the study, covering seven key topics related to financial leasing. The presentation focused on distilling the most crucial conclusions and recommendations outlined in the study. Following the presentation, the floor was opened for a constructive discussion and dialogue with the participating representatives.
عقدت عقد شركة أندرس في فلسطين، بالشراكة مع هيئة سوق رأس المال الفلسطينية، يوم الأربعاء الموافق 31 كانون الثاني 2024، ورشة عمل قانونية لعرض مخرجات دراسة فنية وقانونية لمراجعة وضع قطاع التأجير التمويلي في فلسطين، والتي تم إعدادها من قبل شركة أندرسن – فلسطين، وقد ضم اللقاء ممثلين عن هيئة سوق رأس المال وعدد من شركات التأجير التمويلي في فلسطين.
افتُتح اللقاء بكلمة ترحيبية من قبل مدير الشركة المحامي صهيب الشريف والذي أكد على أن هذا المشروع يُعتبر من المشاريع الهامة والنوعية للشركة. وفي كلمتها الافتتاحية شكرت الأستاذة لينا غبيش، مدير عام الإدارة العامة لتمويل الرهن العقاري والتأجير التمويلي في هيئة سوق رأس المال، فريق البحث المُعد للدراسة، مؤكدة على أهمية الدراسة، كما أشارت إلى أن هذه الدراسة، وما تضمنته من توصيات، والمسودات التشريعية الملحقة بها، ستُشكل نقطة الأساس لتطوير البيئة التشريعية الناظمة لقطاع التأجير التمويلي خلال الفترة القادمة.
بدوره قام المحامي الشريك د. محمود أبوصوي بتقديم عرض شامل حول الدراسة المُعدة من قبل الشركة، والتي تضمنت سبعة موضوعات متعلقة بالتأجير التمويلي، مع التركيز على أهم الاستنتاجات والتوصيات التي تضمنتها الدراسة. وفي نهاية اللقاء فتح باب النقاش والحوار مع المشاركين.
