Suhaib Sharif is a certified attorney and the founder and managing partner of Andersen in Palestine. In this leadership role, he directs and oversees the firm's legal department, managing various legal divisions and co-directing operations. He is adept at negotiating on behalf of clients before national and international entities, including donors, investors, and potential collaborators. Suhaib specializes in corporate law, labor law, contracts and agreements, leasing, and governance, providing expert consultations tailored to client needs.
As a Senior Legal Expert and Consultant, Suhaib has led numerous impactful projects, especially in the domains of investment, financial and business laws, such as developing insolvency legislation in the West Bank for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), conducting a legal study on the Economic Empowerment Fund for the Palestinian People (EEFPP) for the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), and providing technical assistance for investment projects under the Finance for Jobs Project (F4J) with DAI. He has also spearheaded legal reforms, including initiatives for the Palestinian Monetary Authority and the Palestinian Capital Market Authority, and provided strategic legal counsel to entities such as the Palestinian Investment Fund, Asia-Iraq Islamic Bank, and Ooredoo Palestine. Suhaib actively contributes to legal capacity-building programs, including the Sawasiya project aimed at promoting justice and security in Palestine.
Moreover, Suhaib is an expert in providing tailored legal advice and consultancy services to family businesses, including governance and risk mitigation methods.
In addition to his professional achievements, Suhaib is an active member in esteemed organizations, including the Palestinian Bar Association since 2010, where he serves as a Regional Admission Committee member for Andersen Middle East. He plays a pivotal role as Head of the Appeals Committee and member of the management committee at the Palestinian Banking Corporation, and contributes his governance expertise to the Birzeit University Friends Association and The Civil Commission for the Independence of Judiciary and Rule of Law (ISTIQLAL). Suhaib's academic background includes an MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, an LL.M in Public Law from Birzeit University Faculty of Law, and a LL.B in Law with a minor in Political Sciences and Public Administration, complemented by a fellowship at Syracuse University's Maxwell School focusing on democratic values and civil society's role in governance.
